The beaches are famous for their place in history and many have interesting museums that are well worth a visit. Those beaches that once witnessed the d-day landings are now places of fun and tranquility, with miles and miles of golden sand and blue sea.

Most villages have wonderful markets where you can buy all sorts of local delicacies. Nearby Mont St Michel is beautiful and within a short drive is the historic town of Bayeux with its famous tapestry
